Introduction
EzeChek was founded in 2016 to conduct research into the development of a new generation of self-diagnostic tests for allergens.
Globally, more than 250 million people suffer from a food allergy with more than 17 million people suffering from food allergies in Europe alone.
Our goal was to design a new analysis process to enable the creation of a new generation of easy to use, low cost and rapid capability tests. Such tests will enable people to check against contamination and reduce the possibility of acute and life threatening reactions.
In early 2020, we filed a patent application for a Analyte Detection Method with the aim being to begin production of our first test in early 2021.

Amandeep Sandhu
Co Founder
Amandeep is a graduate from the University of Toronto with a degree in Economics and Political Science who has worked with and founded multiple technology start-ups. Diagnosed with Celiac Disease himself, cross-contamination of food products became a constant issue.
With a lack of quick and affordable testing options, this led him to co-founding EzeChek with the goal of developing an innovative and adaptable solution for detecting allergens in foods.
Dr Karen Fung
Co Founder
Karen completed her Bachelors, MSC and PhD at the University of Toronto in the department of biochemistry.
With a combined 11 years of wet lab bench experience from her education, specializing in biochemistry and cell biology, Karen has worked across several research institutes in the GTA including University of Toronto, Sick Kids Hospital and St. Michael’s Hospital.
Karen is responsible for overseeing the scientific research and development for EzeChek products.
Dr Gurbakhash Sanghera
Co FoundeR
After studying for his BSc in Maths and Physics, he then went on to complete a PhD in Physics at the University of Reading in 1978.
Gurbakhash is a serial entrepreneur and has launched a number of ventures within the technology sector and is currently CEO of the BPC group of companies.
Peter Evans
Head of Strategy
Peter has extensive senior management and board level experience across the events, digital and hospitality sectors. Alongside EzeChek, Peter was the founder of Third Space Solutions and the XEC Lounge experience which is based at the NEC.
He is responsible for the sales and marketing of the EzeChek product portfolio and partnership development.
COVID-19 Rapid Test
With the outbreak of the SARS-COV-2 pandemic in early 2020, we challenged our research team to determine if our Analyte Detection technology could be adapted to produce an easy to use and self-diagnostic antigen test for the virus.
The EzeChek COVID-19 Rapid Test will enable quicker identification of the virus and empower people to test themselves in the home or for commercial applications to enable business owners to offer a test at the door approach to create COVID-free spaces.
